Joel Behrens likedCarrieAlmost the same movie as the original, but without the creepy camera and sound work. Felt way less intense but still entertaining. I liked that Sue’s character felt a little more complex in this one though.

nic is "meh" onCarrieHaven’t seen the original but this version wasn’t really that interesting until the last 30ish minutes or so. Those last few scenes at the prom were great and had my full attention but rest of the movie was just okay imo

If you're going to take another stab at this tale of a taunted, traumatized teen who exacts fiery revenge on, well, everyone, then Kimberly Peirce is the director to do it.

Long before the blood starts spilling, it’s clear the new team has mostly nailed it. The reboot is as good a Carrie remake as possible, though it’s not truly a scary movie; the film takes its time living up to its R rating.
