Geez, can’t a woman just hang out by herself and play the organ in peace without being harassed by creepy men, both alive and undead?
I crashed my car into a bridge. I don’t care. I love it.
literally took me almost the entire movie to realize what this was doing, and it rules great double feature with ugetsu

some days i'm the aloof woman, other days i'm the creepy pale man
As immediately and thoroughly disorienting as REPULSION or ROSEMARY'S BABY, but with this tantalizing cheap elegance. The simple cuts, the harsh lighting, the caked-on makeup, the tacky furniture. That perfect alchemy you see in the best trash cinema. Terrifying banality,…
this man really made one of the most compelling and downright terrifying indie horror films ever and then just simply never made a movie again
Muddy, purgatorial despair. The fractured, surreal, organ-heavy march to the other side. This is the only narrative feature by an apparent master of the industrial/educational film industry and it is an incredible piece of waking dream world horror. His industrial…
turns out purgatory is actually just Utah
AITAH For having a mental breakdown after a date with my creepy neighbour?
“I don't belong in the world. That's what it is. Something separates me from other people.” Like: Performance of Candance Hilligoss, beautiful shot location in Salt Lake, Utah, and the eerie atmosphere. No wonder it inspired George Romero to create Night of Living Dead.
LOVED IT!!! so good what a fun and actually scary movie !
7.1/10
I wasn’t sure if I loved this at first but I am able to relate to the main character in a way and I really love the eeriness that follows throughout the whole film. Plus I’ve been dying to watch this for years ever since LDR used a quote from this flick in 13 beaches 😅 anyways…👻😱
For as low of a budget film it was, it was actually really good. However, there are a lot of plot holes with the ending. The whole theme of purgatory was clever and clear. Acting was really bad but aye its a low budget 60s horror film so I didn't expect much. still good 7/10
3½/5 It's a crime this man only directed one feature length movie, it's genuinely really good. The atmosphere and the music give it an eerie feeling, and that's something I love.
That was a very interesting story. It was nice to see. They didn’t rely on a lot of blood to tell a story. I like the critics, I enjoyed its dreamlike state.
The music left me feeling uneasy and disoriented. I was confused throughout the whole thing. I feel it really does what it was meant to do: be unnerving
