Atom User Reviews for Cabrini
This is an epic movie about woman with epic faith, hope and tenacity! Timing was impeccable for showing it on International Women’s day. I bought 15 tickets for women in our parish and we had one of their hubbies join us! What a way to celebrate diversity since we are also part of the “brown” people as the Italians were called back then! The movie had so many angles: Faith! Tenacity, Hope, Love for children and marginalized people, power of women, & minorities, challenging the status quo, immigration to the U.S. and the value of time. Bravo ANGEL NETWORK! Thank you for making a positive difference in showing inspiring movies such as this! I paid it forward and hope many do too. money well spent!
Not once did this move seem long. For a movie that is almost 2 1/2 hours, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. Cabrini was done well with an amazing cast and storyline. This movie should be inspiring to everyone, especially females.
Amazing journey of faith, courage, strength, resilience, morals, and love. Love Never Fails
Absolutely inspiring! Must see for everyone! ❤️
Amazing historical story that is replaying in our own time. Take Mother Cabrini’s life work to heart!
As a proud descendant of both Italian and Polish immigrants, I highly recommend this movie. It was beautifully shot, extremely moving, and inspiring. I cannot wait to see it again!
I loved how this was such a inspirational film
Absolutely great film! the casting for Cabrini was amazing and the film itself was fantastic. The ending felt a little rushed but the rest of the movie made up for it. This was an epic movie.
Sometimes we need an inspirational film like this. Excellent film, great job by all the actors.
Absolutely love it!!
Excellent movie of this great first Saint of the US. The actors were excellent and deserve an award for their performances as well as the movie itself. I would have liked to have seen Mother Cabrini’s relationship with the Lord. It was the Lord who gave her the perseverance to do this important task for all immigrants. You really don’t see her speaking with the Lord…something that really should have been shown. Nevertheless, a well done movie! “Thank you, Jesus. I Trust in You.”
Food For Thought, heartfelt
Wow!
Inspirational! I already run a nonprofit for the homeless. For the past 34 years, it has been a blessing. And yet, Cabrini has invigorated me to do more! See more at www.theworldforjesus.net
Great historical story that kept me interested from start to finish.
Amazing and breathtaking!
I read the book and know about St. Francesca Cabrini. The movie was well acted but showed nothing about why Mother Cabrini is a saint. It is NOT because she was a courageous woman in a male dominated, prejudiced society. It was because Mother Cabrini sought God’s will for her life and trusted that He would provide. The movie seemed to blatantly omit her faith and trust in the Father. The movie showed the nuns and nothing more than strong dedicated women who, like their spiritual mother, trusted in God and persevered against all obstacles.
Un film da non perdere! A great performance and a story that will inspire. Women all ages must see this and everyone else.
This is a wonderful and powerful movie about the tenacity, self-sacrifice and faith of a woman who saw a human need and recognized the Christ in each person she met and touched. It is a must see movie.
Outstanding! From the cinematography, to the acting, to the set and costume design, it was all very authentic and beautifully interpreted and delivered. We just loved it.
This movie blessed me tremendously, And not just that I was able to bring my daughter who is 11 years old and her best friend. As young girls, and even as a grown woman, it truly inspired us to seek out God‘s purpose for our lives, and to know that with confidence the means will always come when you’re doing God‘s will.
Humbly awe-struck! Must see.
A good reflection of the past and history in the society of the US, and reminder of a reality that still exists. An inspiring story of love, courage and sacrifice for the unseen.
One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I can’t understand why I’ve never heard of this woman before. Everyone should see this film!
Amazing life that I never heard about before now.
This movie serves as a very good reminder of what we are all called to be💛!
A well told story of an amazing woman! Very inspirational and eye opening on what this country’s history was like. Thank you Angel Studios for bringing this story to life.
This is a very inspirational film. I wished more producers should make movies like this unlike trashy movies we are experiencing now. Cabrini is a well acted film. I thank the producers and those who were all involved in the making of this film. This would have been in the Oscars too. The movie is not that long. 2 1/2 hours is worth spending your time and energy for watching a movie like this. This is a very timely film as it touches on children and what they are undergoing through in this world just like here in America. Every family should watch this and learn how to fight for their children as they are the most precious that God has created in this world . Even those who are still in their mothers’ wombs. Let us fight for our children’s lives and well-being.
Great story, but seems to shy away of faithful and glorious moments. As a Christian seeing this film (with thousands of other Christian’s), I was once again found longing for the worshipful and glorious moments that could’ve truly been captured if producers wouldn’t shy away from the power of Jesus’ name.
Canceled the viewing
So slow and so lame. I would rather watch paint dry.
Well worth watching. Great to know the history
Grew up in Chicago and knew of the Cabrini Green projects. So sad I had no idea who she was and what she accomplished. Accomplishing the impossible. We need her and her sisters now.
What an eye opener, my grandpa, came to work in "America" during the period covered in this movie and he always said it was very hard, never went into details. This film gives us a true vision of what those immigrants went through. What they had to live through.... This movie is a must see for all of us... and I thought I had it rough when I first came to this country...
Excellent movie. My only disappointment was that her incredible faith in God wasn't shown.
This movie was incredible! So well done and such a great script
This is an AWESOME movie that is truly inspiring and gives hope in a sometimes hopeless feeling world. It truly shows what one person can do if they focus and have faith.
I expected nothing less from Angel Studios.. this movie is beautiful. Bring tissues!
Wasn't what I expected, it actually exceeded my expectations. Great cast too. Learned quite a lot.
Wow! A great reminder that we are all God’s children and were once immigrants.
Great story with above average production value. The story is slow in places, but is artistic and respects the audience's intelligence.
I was drawn into the life of Francis Cabrini and loved what she accomplished as a strong and Godly woman, a truly inspirational life.
Truly touching, it’s a story that needs to be heard
Very well done!
A “got to see movie” So inspiring!
Beautiful Movie
reminds me to never stop helping people who might need your help
It was boring and too long
I cried watching this movie. It reminded me of what humanity is all about. She was persistent and determined despite opposition and sickness to fulfill her mission. I’ll be taking those lessons back into London Wolfe Healing LLC and continue building a legacy.
Superb cinematography!!
Metacritic
Cabrini’s story is rather absorbing and the film offers a lushly mounted portrait of life in 1880s New York, when immigration was just as much of a contentious issue as it is today.
Cabrini is a respectful biopic designed to shed light on a forgotten woman whose charitable acts deserve recognition. It’s also so stultifyingly dutiful you may find yourself missing Sound of Freedom’s tawdry watchability.
