Atom User Reviews for Bullitt 50th Anniversary
Went with my Dad in my 2019 Bullitt. Steve McQueen and Frank Bullitt live on and made for a great moment to share with my Dad.
Saw it 50 years ago! I still enjoyed it immensely
Took my 69 yr old mom, my 17 yr old son & 16 yr old nephew to see Bullit on the "big screen". It was PHENOMENAL! our family is a Steve McQueen fan club!! DON'T MISS IT!
I never got to see this when it first came out on the big screen. What a treat today to see and hear it. The chase scene is what it is all about. Great excitement and action! To think that my Uncle John met Steve McQueen when he was filming the Sand Pebbles and became friends. I still have that picture of them both on a motorcycle. So great to see Steve in action.
I always have loved this movie but it was so awesome to see it on the big screen
It was so wonderful seeing Steve McQueen on the big screen again. I would like to see another of his famous films, “The Great Escape” on the big screen.
The pre show with the McQueen family was fantastic . The sound in the theatre of the car chase; magnificent.
The chase scene still gives me goose bumps Best ever.
This movie contains the granddaddy of all car chases, and it just has to be viewed on the big screen to be fully appreciated. I love Steven McQueen's understated characterization of Bullitt; in fact, I love the whole movie! Go see it.
The movie was great (still one of the best) but the presentation was horrible. The image resolution was terrible, not what you would get if viewing an image from a projected film. I decided to walk out and wait for a projected film presentation, which will happen eventually at a local theater that does show older films. This was my first and last Fathom Event.
So much better to see on big screen and not on my tv! The sound during car chase scenes was worth every penny I spent on ticket!
Absolutely great on the big screen!
A great gritty old detective movie. Of course the greatest car chase scene ever! Shot on location in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, the scenery couldn't be better.
Loved the movie - brought me back to my youth!!!!
Still holds up after all these years! Greatest chase screen ever!
Still the best chase scene ever. Only four stars as the film quality was lacking a bit.
SAW FULL STEVE McQUEEN EXHIBIT IN PARIS LAST SUMMER...SO COOL! NOW YEAR LATER THE 50TH ANNI FOR THE FILM...JUST WOW! ICONIC CHASE SCENE WILL LIVE FOREVER IN MOVIE LORE...
This was my Dad's favorite movie so in his honor I went to go see it. It has one of the best car chase scenes around!
Great to finally see it on the big screen. Steve McQueen will always be the King of Cool.
Having only ever watching it on TV, it really was a much better experience watching it on the big screen, and that car chase was incredible!
McQueen, the 1 and only
So great to see on the big screen!!
The movie is 10 stars. The presentation was no better than I can get on my TV monitor. The theater and projectionist was not trained properly and the image quality was sub-standard. I will be skeptical when paying a premium price for a low-end presentation. The $3 convenience fee is a joke. It was less convenient t pay on-line than going to the theater...
This was my first time seeing “Bullitt” on the big screen and I have to say, it was a lot better than watching it on TV. I noticed things that I hadn’t paid attention to before. “Bullitt” is a good cop procedural movie.
Movie is great! Quality of the film fell short - Very dark and low Rez...Quite honestly I was expecting something digitally remastered and sized to fit the screen. Would love to see that version.
So awesome to see this on the big screen! As a kid and an adult I’ve watched this movie a 1000 times. Never ever did the chase screen feel so real as it did on the big screen!
Dreamnt of seeing this in theaters since I was 5. I’m 29 now!!!
My husband is an avid fan of Steve McQueen. We really enjoyed the family comments and watching the movie on the "big screen". Thanks
Awesome cinematography, you feel like you're in the car riding along with Lieutenant Frank Bullitt during the epic car chase!!!
Fantastic and the benchmark for all chase scenes! Love McQueen.
Metacritic
McQueen is great in Bullitt, and the movie is great, because director Peter Yates understands the McQueen image and works within it. He winds up with about the best action movie of recent years.
