Moviegoers are saying
This Yorgos Lanthimos dark satire starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons delivers a twisted conspiracy thriller about a man convinced his target is an alien, weaving together political commentary, class rage, and corporate critique. Audiences are polarized by its bizarre narrative choices but universally praise the powerhouse performances and Lanthimos's uniquely unsettling vision that exposes contemporary social fractures.

Fineeee I’ll kidnap and torture Jeff Bezos 🤷‍♂️ For legal purposes this is a joke meant to illicit a dumb response of humor. The author of this review does not mean any ill harm to a corporate executive at this time. It is satirical in nature only, thank you.

Jesse Plemons is Ted, a conspiracy theorist who believes Emma Stone is an alien. This is by far my favorite film in a LONG time. Go see this before it leaves theaters.👍

Plemons and Stone, who has become the director’s Oscar-winning muse, are terrifyingly real. And the allegory of a civilization in crisis lured like lemmings off this or that cliff of lunacy lands hard.

What the film does so well, though, is bring enormous compassion to a story that initially seems to despair for the world.

Lacking distinctive social commentary, meaningful character development, or a salient environmental angle, the update feels all but incapable of speaking to the moment.
