I hated the ending! The suspense was there but it ended tooo quick I expected more negotiations more in depth outcome . 3/5
It was a fantastic movie, John Boyega gave an amazing and raw performance.
Great acting, it’s what you expect. You leave feeling kinda down. I can appreciate the movie, but wouldn’t see it again.
F*ck the VA
The movie is a bit slow with an uneven act structure. It's like a 15 minute first act, followed by a 80 minute second act, followed by a 10 minute third act. The acting is incredible though. They hold your attention, but the pacing is just a bit to slow. Despite the pace, you will feel things in this film. Things grab you.
The whole movie is weird don’t go to altamonte because it’s RATCHET!!! They paused the movie and told people to leave
It was a great movie but it had a slow start. Cried a lot , it’s a must watch but just get through the slow beginning

Metacritic
Breaking is a family affair, a film that works because every person in its cast, even those playing the “villains,” gives you a character whose flawed humanity is worth believing.
Breaking is a tragedy that only opens like a thriller. From the beginning, Breaking is about justice.
Despite some narrative and aesthetic reservations, there is an edge and an engagement throughout that make 892 worth a recommendation. Abi Damaris Corbin and John Boyega have done solid work in bringing Brian Brown-Easley’s tragic end to the masses.
