kaiSep 20, 2012What do you get when you mix Python with Kafka and put it in an Orwellian nightmare? You get Gilliam's unsung masterpiece that manages to be both dark satire and visionary piece of visual art. It is in essence a fierce attack on bureaucracy and totalitarianism, told as…

I would have never imagined the line “care for a little necrophilia?” could be so romantic!

This film is not for everyone. If you do not have a keen eye for detail and meaning, as well as inability to analyze films (especially semiotically) you won’t like this film. This film is bizarre but I think the meaning of it is often misconstrued.
pensei que era sobre Brasil mas não tinha nada a ver com Brasil. ao mesmo tempo, um trabalho de escritório no Brasil é desse jeitinho. então tem a ver sim

Literally 1984, on a budget. It was good tho and they filmed some of it in the same place hunger games was filmed. The ending was wild cause you think he’s free but joke he’s hallucinating. I enjoyed this film cause it had a lot of action but also could count as a Christmas movie

This was my first time watching this, and I really wanted to like this because Gilliam is one of my favorite directors, however this was a miss for me, I felt every one of the 143 minutes that this lasted. I’m glad I finally watched it, but I probably never will again.
A true Terry Gilliam film. So wacky but in a good way. The pacing was a bit long after the hour mark, but other than that it was good. I loved Robert De Niro as a vigilante electrician. The story was so interesting and the writing was phenomenal. I loved the ending.
