I know Nosferatu (2024) wouldn't be as it is without various other preceding films, but I have to say watching them all just makes me love Robert Eggers' vision/version that much more. The direction is great, although very tricky to follow. The casting is... I mean, apart from Gary Oldman, who…
Victor K likedBram Stoker's DraculaWatching how this story balances its horror and romance elements and intertwines them in a coherent way makes for a very satisfying experience in this forbidden love tragedy played out, partly by also giving us a lens to see Dracula’s motivations. The horror can surprise you out…
James New likedBram Stoker's DraculaNot scary, at all. Production, makeup, costumes & sets are amazing & immersive. Gary Oldman is fantastic. Stylised & cerebral in its imagery. Bright colours & exaggerated style throughout. Some visceral imagery too which was great. Takes itself a bit too seriously as well ⬇️

No matter how grinding and dull the story gets, we are, genuinely, never more than about 45 seconds away from some eye-popping visual.
Baers trash taste is "meh" onBram Stoker's DraculaI felt like the only movie was made just to show off some actresses rack. But some of the practical effects I liked.

I thought it was the best adaptation from novel to screen even tho they did not include every detail and added scenes and details that didn’t exist in the novel which I feel were cool ig (made it a lil more interesting and captivng) however I hate that they made Mina a hoe!!😕🤨
Charlie Mills lovedBram Stoker's DraculaCoppolas version is very gothic and I think that’s what it should be it’s a very clever film in my opinion very sexual as well 🤣🤣. Dracula was tbh, the atmosphere and suspense was great and special effects blood etc and other things stand up still. Solid 8/10
Jordan Griffith likedBram Stoker's DraculaI love Winona Ryder so I enjoyed this movie a lot. Wish we had less of a love story vibe to and more blood lust in it. My favorite part of the movie was Lucy scene with the garlic. It’s not the best movie but it’s a good time to watch if that makes sense.

Dracula has the nervy enthusiasm of the work of a precocious film student who has magically acquired a master's command of his craft. It's surprising, entertaining and always just a little too much.

Oldman and Ryder and Hopkins pant with eagerness. The movie is an exercise in feverish excess, and for that if for little else, I enjoyed it.
Roger Ebert
Chicago Sun-Times
Dracula, which also stars Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves and Anthony Hopkins, is an evocative visual feast. But the meal is spectral, without the dramatic equivalent of nutritional value.
