Beautiful Movie. Seen many films set during WW2, but I have never seen one from the perspective of someone in the church. First time learning about Bonhoeffer’s story. The way the story is structured, acted, and shot is all done well. You can tell that those who worked on the film are seasoned at their craft. Would recommend👍
I loved Bonhoeffer, absolute perfection and argueably one of Angel studio's best christian films yet
Great true story that touches your heart and makes you think using God and courage and love as your ali s to make decisions. We know right from wrong and must follow God's ways not evil and hateful ones. Very well done! Please see it!
Compelling
I learned after the fact, that quite a bit of it wasn’t real! The Holocaust was definitely real and very maddening! This movie wasn’t completely true about Bonhoeffer! A lot of things were made up to contradict who he really was and what he did. From Forward.com
This movie is a well done story of a most important historical character. It is unsettling to see how people forsake their faith and follow an evil person.
Bonhoeffer was a good movie, I enjoyed it. It was a bit slow in the beginning but nevertheless it was an inspiring look into the past and what has been overcome throughout the years.
Absolutely loved the movie. I was absolutely amazed by the way it was crafted, it was engaging in every moment.
It is a must see !
Wonderful inspiring story from the church perspective. Shows how God is working in the world even with all the evil.
Absolutely profound.
Love the movie!
Oscar worthy
Best movie I have seen in a long time.
I think we all have to consider and ask ourselves are we truly ready to partake in the sufferings of Christ?
A truly must see movie!
Amazing
Very poignant and inspiring
It was inspiring and amazing. Love it, God bless the creators of the movie
Amazing true story
This was a wonderful made movie. It really got the message across about how much the churches have fallen , but showed how one man of unwavering faith can make a difference in many lives. The acting and quality was awesome. This is a must see film for any Christian or otherwise.
offensively bad
It’s a decent historical movie but I really don’t like the Pay It Forward advertisements at the end of the screening.
Absolutely the most inspiring movie I have seen in many years. The message is extremely timely for the times we are living in. Bring some tissues because you will need them.
the writing and acting have this as basically what should have been a straight to dvd (or streaming) movie. Was great to learn this story but there were multiple scenes where I was falling asleep .
Hope it finds an engaged thoughtful audience. Need more stories like this share and encourage peace and civility..justice and trust in God's plan of love n mercy

As a thriller, this is not really thrilling enough. And as a biopic, it’s not necessarily representative of the spirit of the man. But it’s solid enough film-making in a traditional no-frills mode that will always find an audience – even if it’s not particularly trendy.
The filmmaker also makes effective use of some timeworn narrative conventions to build and sustain suspense.
I highly recommend you pay a quick visit to the Wikipedia page dedicated to German theologian and resistance martyr Dietrch Bonhoeffer before taking on writer-director Todd Komarnicki’s film “Bonhoeffer.” Otherwise, you might be as lost as I was thanks to the botched chronology acted-out by a little-known cast in a screen biography that does not live up to its over-reaching subtitle — “Pastor. Spy. Assassin.”
