The scene where they pretend to call their friends as a way to talk about their feelings and insecurities is one of the best scenes of all time. I smile and cry each and every damn time.
StephanieSep 3, 2012The best love poem ever filmed. Sweet without being sugary. Heartfelt without being sappy. A big heart shaped slice of perfection.

it’s HEAVY on dialogue, if you don’t like listening to people talk for the entirety- then this movie isn’t for you. HOWEVER, it’s so raw and captivating. you literally watch two people fall in love. they nail it on the awkward pauses and small glances w/ first meeting someone
oh to be able to articulate your thoughts as well as them. the way they talked about things, the things they talked about, the way they shared their thoughts— it’s all so fascinating. it’s so great. i think i’m going to be thinking about this movie a lot. 27/9/23
One of my favorite romance movies ever😍The slow build up of the main characters connection and physical relationship along with the awkward eye contact avoiding scenes makes it very real to me. Script is 10/10. Leaves you wanting more which lucky for us there are two sequels:)

This be a really chill vibe, experiencing a spontaneous night with 2 people endeared with each other. Obviously the chemistry is just spot on, I guess it has the being lost in your 20s deal. I was surprised to see perspectives that hold up well with how we think about…

Much different than what I thought the actual film was going to be. The film has some great conversations and doesn’t actually feel like i’m watching two actors. I wish the arrogance of Ethan Hawke’s character was questioned more though.
It's just usually it's myself that I wish I could get away from. Seriously, think abt this. I have never been anywhere that I haven't been. I've never had a kiss when I wasn't one of the kissers. Y'know, I've never, um, gone to the movies, when I wasn't there in the audience.’ >
