Too many villains not enough time for story was expecting more from a Tim burton film

Fun! ... But- it's clear that this is setting up for a potential third movie. If that is the case then this is a good sequel that sets up new characters and interesting (and funny) plotlines. If we don't get a third movie then sadly this one is a bit of a letdown. It opens up so many doors early on but doesn't pay off with so many of them at the end. That being said, I think the jokes were great, and Michael Keaton absolutely kills it. It had me laughing pretty hard again and again. Definitely worth a watch!

It’s just too many storylines and they never really completed them and kind of left you open with what happened. and it’s kind of sad because it was one of my favorite childhood movies and I think they should’ve just left it alone.

Where to start? First, I was extremely excited to watch this movie as I am a Tim Burton Fanatic. Was truly excited for the sequel to beetlejuice. It was half a letdown for me. The movie was a little too busy, too many stories trying to be told at once. It had a lot of boring spots. I'm sure the new generation will love it. But if you're an 80's kid, not so much.

Very good movie. It was very slow at first and not very interesting. However, the movie picked up the pace and ended well. I'm hoping (and probale) third installment coming soon. The juice must stay loose.

It was slow and cheesy at times. Some people thought everything was hilarious but I did not. The storyline could’ve been better and I’m a huge fan of the original movie but I wish there were more hidden gems in the movie than new gore that they included and stuff like that.

Tim Burton always delivers excellent all the weirdness

I wanted to love this, maybe my expectations were too high... Michael Keaton was great, but the movie itself tried too hard to recreate moments from the first film, and considering why Lydia's dad was killed off (because of what the actor is guilty of) I don't think his image/likeness should have been in the movie at all.

Such a fun movie, I love the whole cast having a blast in this film.

The best movie ever but the original will always be number one

Catherine O'Hara steals the scenes that she's in!! And Keaton as the "Ghost with the Most," is always a welcomed sight that doesn't disappoint. They could've done more in terms of the villain. (Felt like Monica Bellucci was wasted potential) Pick one villain and commit or have it connect with another unfavorable character. There was no reason to put an entire song to mimic the Day-O sequence from the original. Loved the claymation and the puppetry. The nostalgia was there and for the most part, it was fun. Again, more could've been done to elevate the story and the characters within.

Good movie for nostalgia purposes but felt rushed with no good climatic wrap up of the story

Its innovative including the enforcement of any genre of past times and present. I can't await till Beetlejuice 3: Afterlife. Its sudden and contentful firmly in history.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice relies on your familiarity with and memory of those performances. It’s a fun journey down memory lane. It won’t take you anywhere new, particularly, but let’s face it, that’s not why most people will take the trip.
