It was just entertaining, but don't expect intelligence.
I don't know how good the movie was. For the second time in the last 3-4 months they put subtitles up on the movie ruining the movie experience. They do not inform us about subtitles being on until the movie starts denying us the opportunity to choose one without subtitles.

It's August and we have Idris, Beast seems to say; do you really have anywhere better to be?
If you can get past the idea that the two-ton lion threatening Idris Elba and his family in the movie is a singularly frightening combination of ones and zeros, not killer instinct and claws, then Beast is a blast.
