If you hate this movie you are a misogynist
Dont see it thank me later
Not what I expected. If I could give a 0 I would.
I really enjoyed this movie 💞. It was funny 😆 and very entertaining. Issa Rae 🖤🤎 did a great job along side the rest of the cast.
If Ryan Gosling has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Ryan Gosling has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Ryan Gosling has only one fan then that is me. If Ryan Gosling has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Ryan Gosling, then I am against the world.
This is such an amazing movie😭 i never comment to leave reviews but 10/10
it was less fun and more of a lecture. I wanted to be entertained, not scolded for being a man. My husband, who has been looking forward to this release for months, was extremely disappointed and upset by it as well. Could have told the same story in a much more light-hearted, less SJW way.
waste of money
It was mostly woke political jargon. I understood it, but kids won’t. The first 30 minutes were fun but then it just became painful.
It was entertaining but I don’t think it was a good movie. 6/10. I reaaaally wanted to enjoy it all the way thru and was excited for it but people in the audience were annoying making commentary every moment and laughing really loudly at parts that weren’t even funny. It had some funny moments though… Extremely awesome set design but mostly corny. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were great though. I just didn’t like the story and the political stuff at all. Felt like they were trying to make a statement (again). It was a depressing take of Barbie. Can’t believe they went this route.
The movie was a lot of fun. I figured going in that the message would be about empowering women, which is what Barbie is all about in the first place. If you thought it was gonna be something else, then you're an idiot.
Absolutely adored it!
As a woman, this movie was too feminist. Consideration for men was low and making women seem superior to men instead of equal is outdated. The beginning was going great, but as the movie went on, interest would gradually decrease.
It was a great movie, however, idk it was just missing something for me. The movie is funny and cringe but in a funny intentional way. It’s a movie that I don’t really think is suitable for small children. Some of the references are a bit too adult to kids. My 9 year old sister felt a bit uncomfy with some of the references so just beware of that. Besides that I personally loved the movie and Margot Robbie was amazing. I think it also did a great job of addressing all of the Barbie past controversies, but it’s definitely a movie that you need to come in with prior knowledge of these controversies to understand especially since it ties in with the mature references made on the movie.
Incredibly stupid, didn’t know what to do with the plot, pushes a dangerous and unrealistic view of society
Horrible
Worst movie I’ve ever seen
Genuinely an amazing movie
I’m a guy that went with my kids and wife so…
Sooo good! A great movie for anybody that ever loved Barbie!
Barbie having an existential crisis is not what I expected from a movie about a toy, but man did I enjoy it, it’s a fun time🫡
greatest movie of all time 10/10 #WOMEN!!!! i’m kenough. and so are you.
The movie had some touching mother/daughter moments, lost of funny moments and a ton of laughs
literally the best movie ever
2nd time seeing it was THAT good! Great cast, funny, beautiful art direction!
A great movie that has a lot to say if you're up to listen. Definitely not just a kids movie!
Wokeness and looked like one of the barbies is a trans... I can't give it 1 star because Margot Robbie is hella hot...
Best Day Ever 🎀 Barbie
Barbie is everything and definitely watching again! Made me feel proud to be a woman!
Surprising in all the best ways. Loved it.
AMAZING
When we arrived to the movie theater our seats already had people seating in there we called customer service and they went to see if they have the tickets and they purchased the same tickets we couldn’t watch the movie we need the refund this is unacceptable that they double sale the tickets
movie theater has 2 power surges that caused like 30 minutes of reversing so it was hard to actually enjoy the movie
Was so nostalgic!!! Such a great movie and made me a bit emotional at the end :’)
Whether you like Barbie or not this movie we’ll win you over! Outstanding performance from the entire cast! Would see it again in a heartbeat!
peak cinema
I enjoyed. I know people that would take it too seriously. It’s a fun summer movie and the cast is fantastic but don’t take someone who enjoys being offended.
Loved it!! Made me laugh and cry and fun to watch!
So funny and such intelligent commentary on society. LOVED!!
An amazing movie. You can never go wrong with Barbie and what she means to little girls all over the world. And then those little girls grow up to be women. Thank you Barbie. Thank you Mattel. Thank you Ruth Handler. I was surprised to see Issa Ray. Barbies Unite. Great film. I look forward to seeing it a second time.
Not silly like I expected 😜 Not for little girls. Barbies were for little girls.
Nice movie with a lot messages and parallels to the human existence. Cast was awesome. All in all , fun way to disconnect from reality while also acknowledging it
Amazing movie
Not family friendly. But still it’s a good movie to watch with friends
Definitely a must see! Barbie Rules!
The movie didn't make sense. Even though I did like the pink visuals of the movie. But the movie is not worth being sold out every week.
Not kids friendly
Definitely some funny parts here and there but the plot is horrible. Didn't feel genuine when it tried to take it's convoluted message seriously
women!
Metacritic
It’s a riotously entertaining candy-coloured feminist fable that manages simultaneously to celebrate, satirise and deconstruct its happy-plastic subject. Audiences will be delighted. Mattel should be ecstatic.
Gerwig has crafted a warm, funny and cinematically rich film – if one whose narrative and political ambitions are far less radical than it would like us to suppose.
“Barbie” comes roaring out of the gate with an inventiveness and energy the movie perhaps inevitably can’t sustain. Amid all the hype that has made its release an increasingly rare movie-going occasion, director Greta Gerwig’s film proves an admirably ambitious attempt to ponder where Barbie fits in the 21st century – less than it could be, but pretty close to being what it should be.
