I really don't know why Nicholas Cage played in this rather low budget film, he must be desperate. Besides the okay acting that was rather heartfelt, this terrible CGI movie is rather disappointing. It may have been better if they put more effort into the creatures.

Had so much potential, but fell short with the clarity of the monsters and half the scenes were shot in the dark

It’s an effective little thriller that knows the conventions and doesn’t stray too far from them.
