Synopsis
Before there was an Infinity War, there was a Civil War – a battle between superheroes, one that the shiny new Ant-Man, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), chose to take part in. In the aftermath of that event, Scott is left facing the consequences of his choices as he tries to balance his responsibilities as a superhero with those he has as a father. Which is why it’s a good thing that when an urgent new mission requires his assistance, Scott faces it alongside an equally tiny and mighty new partner: Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), a.k.a. The Wasp. Peyton Reed returns to direct this funny and inventive follow-up to his 2015 MCU entry, Ant-Man. Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym, while Michelle Pfeiffer joins the cast as his long lost wife (and Hope’s mother) Janet van Dyne. Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip "T.I." Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, and Laurence Fishburne also star.

stay for the ending.
Gotta stick through the credits for this one
Metacritic
The best thing, though, is the movie’s modest scale. It’s a good-natured epic, dedicated to the nontech principle of dispensing plain old pleasure.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is a movie of deliberately low stakes and, for that very reason, enormous charm.
The first flick had a lot going for it: clever cinematography, a refreshing irreverence and Paul Rudd’s boyish charm. But “Wasp” is scant, man.
