Natalie likedAmmonitePretty good, I am OBSSESED WITH KATE WINSLET NOW. She is so fine. Also it was a good movie, I am confused by the ending and it’s not what i hoped, but could have been worse. The tension and chemistry was really good. I really enjoyed it.

the sex scenes lwk made me uncomfortable at times.. better than the first time trying to watch it tho. it was a really good movie overall with an interesting storyline and real slow pacing. it was kinda comforting. im choosing to believe it has a happy ending, cuz it was too sad

I appreciate movies like these only on occasions. It’s good. Probably 80% of it are silences, but they all have meaning and add a weight which makes sense with the story. And even if it’s a silent moment, you want to listen and see. I don’t know about that ending though.

What is most puzzling about Ammonite is its dedication to playing up the ridiculous, misogynistic leanings inherent of the time while simultaneously diminishing the groundbreaking work and strong personalities of both women.

What’s missing is the vital emotional turbulence of Sciamma’s modern classic, or of any three-dimensional story of passion and feeling. The compensations here are smaller, but they’re welcome, too; they’re more about two fine actresses digging for what’s underneath the obvious contours.
