“You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.” Sometimes a movie provides its own review.
Matt SingerApr 26, 2017Still find it odd that in the future, androids run on cum.

adamboltSep 7, 2024Rewatching this movie from Ash's perspective is so unbelievably cool. Seeing the chessmaster observe his pawns as they venture out to find the eggs, catching all his intense glances at Kane during the dinner scene, hearing every last manipulative tactic to keep the alien…

Glad the cat survived lol
gom lovedAlienAhead of its time.
Morgan lovedAlieni loved ripley and her cat and the xenomorph so much, there’s so many creative and iconic scenes in this with the face huggers and the chest bursters and they look really cool, some of the ship design is kinda random and goofy for me but it’s not that distracting

I loved the cat
Merher is "meh" onAlienWho tf would think that taking a cat, moreover an orange cat to space is a good idea ?🙀😹 I’m too old to be impressed and too young to understand my parents hype about it. It is iconic for its age but still lacking in other ways. 6/10.
MovieDaddy lovedAlienJaws in space. This movie is pure sci-fi horror perfection. Rarely has there ever been a more perfect anxiety-inducing deep space suspense movie. Top 100 films all time without a doubt. All hail Sigourney Weaver as my favorite cinematic hero, Lt Ellen Ripley.
- Parker Mallars lovedAlien
One of if not the best sci-fi horror movies ever made. Still holds up great and it’s a perfect example of how practical effects truly make a movie timeless.
nic likedAlienWatched this while on a date with the man of my dreams so this invokes good vibes for me 🤭

Editors Terry Rawlings and Peter Weatherley cut the film so cleverly so that we never have a clear notion of what the alien actually looks like until the very last shots.
Peter Bradshaw
The Guardian
Just as Ripley is the female action hero against whom all others are judged, so the alien itself, brilliantly conceived by HR Giger and, equally brilliantly, concealed by Scott and kept in shadow for much of the film, is one of the most terrifying monsters in cinema history.
