Synopsis
Children can be such monsters. After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they're locked inside with no normal little girl. From Radio Silence--the directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett behind the terrifying modern horror hits Ready or Not, 2022's Scream and last year's Scream VI--comes a brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick, written by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground, Zombie Bashers) and Guy Busick (Scream franchise, Ready or Not). Abigail stars Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, Darklands) as Abigail. The film is produced by William Sherak (Scream franchise, Ready or Not), Paul Neinstein (Scream franchise; executive producer, The Night Agent) and James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, Scream franchise) for Project X Entertainment, by Tripp Vinson (Ready or Not, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) and by Radio Silence's Chad Vilella (executive producer Ready or Not and Scream franchise). The executive producers are Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher.

6.7 - possibly the most blood I’ve ever seen in a movie. Acting is solid, though the characters don’t all mesh. The location was under used. And it DEFINITELY should’ve been much tighter down the stretch. But it’s mostly fun, seems to know what it is, & does what it needs to do.
I actually liked a lot of scenes, but most of it is down to the choreography, cast, and creativity. I didn't like how every plot point was basically ruined by the marketing and how the pace kept switching from slow to fast. The story wasn't really going anywhere, but the performances and comedy…

I loved this movie it was nice balance of comedy and thriller, sooo much blood and bodies exploding so hard that it throws you across the room lol its a funny movie with lots of different characters that are funny and annoying and some that pmo and simply a golden dolg
The last act was horrible. I also feel that they needed WAY more people so we could see some gruesome kills. Other than that, the movie itself was just meh. Nothing memorable about it to be frank. It pretty much falls short on everything, but it’s an okay watch 6/10

One of the best vampire movies I’ve ever seen! Vampire and slashers are my favorite horror movie genre so I can be a hard critic when it comes to these types. But man! This was fun and bloody! Loved the mix of scary and comedy in this! Very hard to make those work together. 10/10

Best vampire film seen in a while. Left you on the edge of your seat.
not enough scares and too cheesy
Metacritic
It’s not that Abigail is terrible: all its pieces slip together where they should, but its for all its excessive violence and gore it is a dull, lifeless experience.
The acting, practical and special effects and production design are all superb. The script is repetitive, tedious and a whole lot of ho-hum.
