Does not adhere to games rules at all times which is fine but it also adheres sometimes which is very inconsistent. Clearly not meant to be taken seriously but it loops to the point of its irony being unfunny itself. Boring basic plot 0/10
Brought my older kids because they grew up playing it. I enjoyed it as much as they did. Definitely recommend. A few “H” bombs but otherwise totally family friendly. End credit cut scene makes us think there’s going to be a sequel. Also all I want to say is Jennifer…

Good thing it was written for the kids and not me. I took my older teens, 19 and 16, and they loved it, as they've been playing Minecraft since they were 7. I was in hell, so there ya go. I'm glad they had fun, but you won't!

Sometimes all you need to relax and forget about the world for a moment is a braindead movie. This one is just that. Stupid as all can be, but it's genuinely funny at times and kept me entertained. Don't be afraid to just let yourself feel like a kid from time to time.

there was a lot of sexual hints and stuff for being tailored for younger people. it was horrible though, even my teens said it was the worst movie they've seen. We got more excited about the trailers then this movie. save your money and go see something else.

Movie was actually pretty good! I didn’t have an expectation for it but my kids play the game so wanted to see it and I got to say I laughed a lot. Some parts were short and seemed out of placed and rushed at times but overall I give it a 8, must see. All ages would enjoy.

A good movie ruined by an audience that's what my little nephew said, and he's 12 years old if a 12 year old is more mature than you than that saying something but for me being 25 I've dealt with worse.

Hess and his army of screenwriters (only five are credited) have taken the wisest possible route with their adaptation: A Minecraft Movie is a broad, slapstick farce without a hint of seriousness, reverence, or coolness. The most shocking thing? It's not terrible.
It feels like a small miracle that the resulting film is so funny, lively, and light on its feet.
Perhaps there’s an alternative out there, a sharper, smarter, funnier version of a Minecraft movie. One with actual jokes. Or, God forbid, there may even be a worse iteration, although that’s hard to imagine.
