Atom User Reviews for A Man Called Otto
Unoriginal Hollywood woke fest. Pushing lgbt propaganda, weak males, etc, etc. Deceptive trailer did not show the garbage. Skip.
Great story and character development.
Amazing!!! Funny, Emotional, Interesting
This one really touched me. So incredibly well done. I am getting a little misty writing this as I think back on the story. And I am a 52 year old Het-Cis-White guy…
Tom Hanks always is great.
this movie will make you laugh and cry...the cast is wonderful
It’s a bit of a cliche story and different from the original novel this movie is adapting.
I really enjoyed this movie 🎥 🍿 . Great cast. I read the book 📕 years ago and enjoyed it. #ove
Sad, multiple scenes of suicide attempts but very good
I was telling my friend about this film! It's really great how even in his resistance he wasn't abandoned by friends
Suicide scenes were to explicit! Even for PG13.
As always, Tom Hanks is phenomenal. Overall, it was more sad and heart-rending than I expected, but it was a great movie!
Like mixing a teaspoon of dog crap into a batch of brownies. Lotta good but the little bit of crap nearly ruins the whole mix.
Give me a five stars because six wasn’t an option!!
Was disappointed with the stale popcorn. For the price it should be fresh and hot
Loved this movie!!
Great movie for sure!!
Did not follow the published book exactly, but otherwise a good movie.
My wife thinks they followed me around. Good movie great message. We all need to see the best in others
Tom Hanks continues to be great.
A real tear jerker
Somewhat disappointing. Hanks is excellent.
Very sweet movie
Super hilarious.
so glad we went out to see this movie
Very slow movie, dark suicide theme. Trailers showed only humorous parts of the movie. Wait to see on Netflix.
Yes just see it. It’s a great Tom Hanks movie!!
I really liked this movie. It was a little sad but such a good movie.
Loved the movie. Great acting, great story. Not too long.. I think the supporting actors were also fantastic. Would t be surprised if they are nominated for awards next year. Great start to 2023..
This was a great film, and Tom Hanks doesn't disappoint.
I loved this movie. It was sad, funny and very heartwarming. Love Tom Hanks!
Not one that I’d normally go to, but Tom hanks did a fantastic job!!
A feel good, change of heart movie
Good movie. A friend warned me that it was an emotional movie and she was right. It is not what you think it is from the ads. Some of it plays just like you’d think after seeing the trailer BUT there’s so much more to the story than that and it’s worth a watch. It made me tear up from sadness and happiness. I haven’t laughed while crying at the same time in a long time.
great message live life #mentalhealth #youarenotalone
Great story great cast.
Incredible! Up there with such great movies as Titanic! A++! Bring tissues!
Great Movie totally amazing had me blind sided and on edge of my seat , laughs ,crys and just a great film.
Great story, Tom is a great actor no matter what he plays in. Some scenes were sad but still an encouraging story.
was a terrific wellrounded movie so all the hashtags summed it up nicely...ty nothing more I can say
Hits you in the heart, the best movie in theaters right now.
Could have left out the agenda pushing. All points still could have been made.
Don’t miss this film!
Tom Hanks doesn’t disappoint, not a fast moving movie, great story, great acting, definitely could hit you in the feels. Worth seeing
Beautifully done.
The best movie I’ve ever watched
It was a great movie! I was feeling sad that day and it hit me right in the feels. It was in a way uplifting because sad things so happen but we must keep going 💪🥲
Metacritic
As always, Tom Hanks is in there pitching, but this time it’s mostly softballs. The cliched plot about a reformed grumpy old man is so obvious you can see it from outer space.
A Man Called Otto is not only more bloated than the Swedish film, it’s more outré, in a way that’s hard to pin down.

There’s laying it on thick, there’s laying it on with a trowel, and there’s laying it on like A Man Called Otto.
