Atom User Reviews for A Haunting in Venice
If you like murder mystery, you might enjoy it. It's pretty much Clue. Have a lot of people stuff k in a house, while the detective fries to find out whose the killer solves the case.
super boring movie! very predictable content/plot. I had to fight myself to stay awake . I was not surprised nor scared.
I really looked forward to A haunting in Venice and was super disappointed! Plus it was hot in the theater
terrible movie almost slept through it
My whole family enjoyed the movie. Some members do not like horror type films, so this was perfect. Had the mystery and scares without the gore. This is a clue type film mixed with Sherlock and a ghost story.
I love to watch mystery solving movies, because it had inspired me to learn about problem solving and discovering the truth between right and wrong.
Felt like the story dragged. It was a bit lame. I honestly started to doze-off in the middle of the movie. If you just want to kill time, then by all means go and see it.
Disney type murder mistery
I fell asleep , it was so slow and boring nothing was scary about it
I thought it was going to be a horror film, but it wasn’t! It was definitely a murder. Mystery with a lot of suspense, and I enjoyed it very much.
Amazing!!!
0 out of 10. the movie was not scary and it was slow
Typical English murder mystery fare from one of it's masters
This film felt different then the previous Poirot movies. Virtually no humor, but lots of different plot lines that do a decent job throwing you off the trail of the killer. While I enjoyed this movie, it’s not one that you will be watching over and over.
The guy who plays the detective is always in ruining for a metal in my book
Very nice mysterious movie, captivating and great acting.
Very enjoyable time-piece mystery set in Venice. The mystery keeps you guessing, the cast keeps you entertained, and the setting is fantastic. Props to Mr. Poirot for not only leading the film, but directing it as well. Very enjoyable film, would recommend 👍
What a great movie! Always a fan of Agatha Christie, I read the book before going to the movie, which was loosely based in A Halloween Party, although it was nothing like the book, I enjoyed it very much.
Definitely not scary. It’s just a murder mystery that has a long dialogue. It was okay, I just wish it was actually scary.
Good
This was fun to watch and try to deduce who actually did it and their reasons. A welcomed edition to the other movies starting the main character.
This was a suburb movie, great cast and super twisty story! Loved it, must see!
Rare movie that isn’t a subversive take on Detective Fiction. I enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this movie mostly due to the cast. I feel they were all great in their roles. I did figure out the ending, but I was still completely entertained. I hope this Agatha Christie series of movies continue.
I love these kind of movies, my wife and I were at the edge of our seat the whole time
I have enjoyed how Dr. Poirot has a methodically presented the truth. Yes it is a typical murder mystery but the way the truth is uncovered and how it's all tied together is what kept me interested.
Ever since I saw the 1st one. I have enjoyed these movies. Thanks Agathe Christie
Fun movie
Wow!
I liked it. Didn’t like it as much as the first too but it was good. I like Branagh’s portrayal of Poirot.
Loved it!
I appreciated the movie great experience
What a twist of an ending!
Great murder mystery with some horror elements. Keeps you guessing the whole time.
Boring
Good addition to the series! Some stuff was predictable but the story line was written well.
A good ol’ fun mystery movie. Best of the series so far
excellent continuation of the series! slightly predictable but great to watch a few times.
Limited fun.
Anything from an Agatha Christie novel is great. Haunting does not disappoint.
Great movie. very smart and well done.
It’s a good follow up to the previous detective movie.
A very atmospheric movie with terrific sound effects. It was also predictable knowing who the killer was in the beginning of the movie.
Old Fashioned mystery movie. It was very good.
Great cast ensemble, kept my interest.
A captivating mystery on the level of Knives Out.
Metacritic
In so many ways, A Haunting in Venice feels like some sort of culmination.
In straddling genres, “Haunting” can get stuck in the middle. But there’s fun to be had there. What’s consistent is the elegant visuals — striking cinematography by Haris Zambarloukos — which mark this movie’s real genre as lavish old-fashioned Hollywood entertainment.
