  • In the movie, CJ (young adult) likes to get a bag of pretzel snacks and a Sprite. Apparently, about a few minutes later, in the scene when CJ visits Joe's Quick Stop, she is shown to get the can of Sprite and a bag of Snyder's of Hanover pretzel snacks.
  • Ethan's wife Hannah has a pregnant daughter and grandson in the first movie A Dog's Purpose (2017). In this movie, she has a son (who dies before this movie takes place) and granddaughter. The characters from the first movie are never mentioned.
