very dramatic and shakespearean. i really enjoyed the attention to detail. the tiny taps, expressions, choice of words, and everything else that made basically every scene full of tension was an incredible dance between actors, cameras, directors, set and score.
Tristan dislikedA Bigger SplashSuper fuckin boring, wouldn’t recommend unless you wanna look at Dakota Johnson. She’s the sole reason I watched. Her interactions with Paul were intriguing I guess but that’s about it.

A Bigger Splash is fiercely unrelaxing, and impossible to ignore. You emerge from it restive and itchy, as though a movie screen could give you sunburn, and the story defies resolution.
