Two aging self-absorbed millennials drop acid, witness each other's benign first-world traumas, and eventually decide to settle for each other. Entertaining but tragic.
This sweet, emotional, romantic story has meritorious memorable music but will leave you mostly dry eyed!

This movie made absolutely no sense to me. I walked out in the middle of the movie. I never walk out and this is my first time doing that. What were they thinking?

The questions being probed here about how to be vulnerable, what it takes to connect – y’know, the big stuff – aren’t exclusive to romance, after all. And I so admired the movie for having the daring and openheartedness to try to tackle the big stuff. I just wish I liked it more.
This messy romantic phantasmagoria is a hinterland for no one: a musical without musical numbers, a romcom without comedy. Sincerity saves it from collapse.
In the pantheon of films about magical cars, this one is not big, bold or beautiful.
