I would definitely support JLaw as a new mainstay narrator. She has a good voice for it. This is a solid, if sometimes shallow documentary on the planet as a whole. I mean, any documentary on the whole earth that isn't 100 hours long is probably too shallow. A Beautiful…

The film, produced in conjunction with NASA, also fulfills its inspirational function with screen-filling, soul-filling views of the main space station in the story — the one that harbors all our lives and hopes.

It’s appealing to adults and accessible to younger viewers. And it delivers an environmental message that is strong and serious while remaining encouraging and optimistic. That’s important to hear. The rest is just amazing to watch.
