This movie was an amazing genre thriller. A huge departure from the original Cloverfield, before being an action disaster found footage type film, this being more like the work of Alfred Hitchcock

very intense
Interesting movie without much of a conclusion or purpose but I was able to solve it before it unfolded as most movies with a mystery we watch. It was still a bit confusing at the least. It's entertaining but weak on story. It kinda up to you to figure out.
It was a suspense thriller all the way until the end which left on a cliff hanger. I thought it was good, but it has some flaws.

Basically, it’s an electrifying three-person play, as the determined Winstead, the complexly furious Goodman and Tony-winner John Gallagher Jr. (playing a lucky neighbor who made his way down) have it out in scenes that impart the nauseating futility of George Romero’s mall-ensconced Dawn of the Dead.
A well-crafted affair by debuting director Dan Trachtenberg that mixes elements of an intimate stage play with the white-knuckled tension of a cracking good Twilight Zone episode.
It is designed to be fun, efficient and accessible and delivers precisely and exactly on that and nothing more.
