Everyone knows Avengers: Endgame is going to be a big deal at the box office when it opens on April 26. The only question is: How big?

The Marvel sequel has hit tracking and pundits are predicting an opening weekend in the range of $200 to $250 million, according to Deadline. That feels very conservative, seeing as how Infinity War opened to $257.6 million, which earned that film the all-time opening weekend record.

Given that Endgame‘s advanced ticket sales obliterated records earlier this week with a snap of Thanos’ finger – er, sorry – click of your mouse, Deadline observes that it is quite possible Endgame will creep past $260 million. And a domestic opening weekend in the vicinity of $300 million could also be in the cards. If any of those numbers pan out, the Russos’ movie would best Infinity War and have the biggest domestic opening weekend in the history of movies.

Despite its rumored three hours-and-two-minute runtime, Endgame can hit these crazy-high numbers. According to Deadline’s analysts, the math provided by them supports these projections based on the movie having “4 to 5 showtimes a day, at a 70 percent capacity at 12,000 U.S. auditoriums.” And it is safe to assume that Marvel’s much-anticipated summer blockbuster will open in upward of 4,000 theaters, if not have the biggest theater count ever for a wide release. The current holder of that title is Despicable Me 3, which opened in a record-setting 4,529 theaters. (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opened in 4,475 theaters, while Infinity War had 4,474).

Judging by internet pre-sales, momentum and interest for Endgame are crazy-high (a shocker to no one). And the buzz on Endgame is so good going into the home stretch, that fans are already planning to help drum up those box office numbers with repeat viewings over opening weekend alone.

Long story less long: Disney and Marvel are going to kick off the summer with a box office haul that would make Scrooge McDuck’s vault blush. “Whatever it takes.”
