I am so surprised with this movie. It was surprisingly not what I expected it exceeded that! It’s a totally relatable story like realistic me and my husband laughed, got upset, cried, and ended happy!! I recommend this movie 10/10
What a rad movie! The 90s vibe is like a sweet blast from the past, taking you on a nostalgia trip. Plus, it's got some real-life lessons packed in! You won't be bored one bit, guaranteed!
Movie was great from start to finish. It will make you laugh and has that nostalgia feel to it
Superbad meets My Girl feels... Good flick... All the feels
It was such a cute movie.
As a comedy, it's not very funny. As a coming of age story, it lacks focus. It's a movie in search of a point.
Stupid beyond words. Did not even crack a smile once. To much vulgar talk, idiotic parental behavior. Could not understand what was being said half the time. We left. Wish I could take away the one star.
Superbad with a 90s teenage twist
I was surprised about how good it was. I had fun watching it.
10/10
It was great took a male friend we both laughed and I cried lmao
Funny
wasn't the best movie. Very predictable and felt as if the most humor came from just the profanity. Definitely entertaining at times but felt slow and lackluster most of the film
Thought this was supposed to be a comedy. I was not entertained nor amused. Hated just about every character in the movie.
Funny and great movie
Loved this movie! It was better than I expected
I don’t know what to say. It’s long, boy.
The movie was funny and entertaining. I enjoyed it and had a good message.
We really enjoyed this movie. Had just the right amount of comedy laughs all the feels and a few tears.
Loved the 90's music and feel of the film. A bit predictable but still enjoyable and funny.
great coming of age movie.
Funny movie with only a couple of laughs. But all in all we liked it
Great coming of age movie, with all the 80s feel.
Metacritic
With its rambling momentum and quick-witted, almost musical dialogue, it feels less like “Superbad” than a Robert Altman movie, sort of like a pint-size “California Split.”
“Personal” picture or whatever larger objective Rehemeier was aiming for, he’s made a very long and not that funny comedy connected by disjointed and generally unoriginal scenes rather than a coherent narrative.
