What makes this film just ever so slightly rear its head above mediocrity is the fact that it is beautifully shot and has a great build up towards the reveal of one hell of a bad guy. It is a shame, however, that this otherwise creative film feels the need to merrily…

WadeFeb 21, 2013Roger Ebert has a rather notorious review of this film, in which he gives the film zero stars and goes on about how the film is misogynistic and revolting. While I will agree the "head on a stick" scene is revolting, that moment is not graphically violent, and really is the…

i liked this a lot more than i would have thought. it was SO well shot and the score was very good. the characters aren’t perfect but that’s about all i can complain about. i love the location and im usually not a gorehound but it was a perfect level. 7.5/10

It's really hard to give this one a proper rating. I wasn't convinced it's based on true events and if/since it is...it's incredibly insensitive. Which is fine for a standalone horror but if you're basing on real life let's maybe not so much with the overture of rape. More on LB.
I was led to believe it was much darker than it turned out to be. Guy kidnaps people. Torture. Chasing. Rinse repeat. His accent kinda intrigues me though. Entertaining for a single watch for me.

Way overhyped for what it actually was like. Knowing it’s based on true stories from the area is freaky but separating that from the movie - I’ve seen scarier, gorier movies.
A pretty solid horror movie, our killer in this film was pretty solid and grotesque in how he acts. You really do feel bad for the girls he takes as a victim as well.
