Synopsis

In the town of Winterset, Iowa, three poor farmers recruit a City Slicker to help pull off a heist, stealing bags of cash from a wealthy ranch owner. The heist goes south and an evil man whom the bags belong to shows up to get them back.

They say dying is easy, comedy is hard, but I found the comedic lines or moments to be the some of the best-executed parts of the movie. The wide shots of the scenery were also gorgeous. Clearly made with affection for the area, and I got a nice charge from the Anderson…

It's great to see films made in Iowa! Winterset is an action packed Midwest crime drama where some down on their luck farmers get messed up with some really bad people. Suspenseful, and engaging!
