Synopsis
In WEREWOLVES, a supermoon event has triggered a latent gene in every human on the planet, turning anyone who entered the moonlight into a werewolf for that one night. Chaos ensued and close to a billion people died. Now, a year later, the Supermoon is back....

Pretty fun, self-aware schlock and mostly does honor to the golden rule of “when the movie title is just the thing in the movie but plural it’s always a fun movie.” Think about it. John Carpenter’s Vampires, Jaws, Showgirls, Mean Girls, works every time.

My brother bought the movie and I got to watch it. When it first started playing I thought it was the trailer because there was no like narrator, no actor names, no story being set up it just throws you right into the movie. Movie wasn’t even that good, the effects were cool tho

The side characters were forgettable and considering I tuned in for the practical effects and action I feel like they were both underutilized, with a lot of the action not visible and the practical effects looking janky in several scenes

This film really annoyed me because it had so much potential and they wasted all of it. Amazing premise, so much they could potentially work with but literally chose to work with the worst bits. Wasted the potential of Frank Grillo. Might have been better as a limited series.

Is not a very good movie, however it’s a horror comedy movie, I would suggest to watching it on a cold rainy day or if your bored or can’t a find a movie that is out

Here the actual transitions are quite nifty, featuring lots of bulging veins and grisly-looking in-between stages as people turn into different kinds of snarling mammalian creatures. However, once they are done transforming, the masks or make-up or whatever the actors are clad in are so ineffectual they end up looking like a bunch of underlit extras in Halloween costumes recreating The Purge while howling.
