Absolutely breathtaking, amazing score by Trent Renzor and Atticus Ross! Great cast and the best camera work of the year so far. No film this year has gripped me like “Waves” 100% would recommend to all my friends

I saw this movie 2 times when it came out and I have to say it was the best film of the year for me. From the beautiful colors, to the amazing music, this movie had it all. I’d have to say that the final 20 mins are a-little slow, but don’t worry... it was amazing. The cast did so good at acting and i could feel all the emotions. 9.9/10

Devastating and uplifting in equal measure, this emotionally draining film makes good on Shults’ early promise.

Schultz has a lovely way of telling a just-on-the-verge-of-melodramatic story on a very human level.

This is intensely physical filmmaking, drenched in Florida sunshine and magnetized by the beauty of the actors’ faces and bodies. But it is also deeply rooted in its characters’ consciousness, alert to the feelings of dread, shame, rage and despair that threaten to bring these fast-moving lives to a standstill.
