A uniquely horrible experience. This was edited like it was intentionally meant to be split into 20 different TikTok videos. Tom Hardy gives a laughly bad performance that is just not worth discussing further. This was made with a complete lack of care, entire scenes look like poorly rendered video…
don’t get me wrong, i’m the biggest venom fan. however, this plot was SO BASIC that i knew right from the start what was gonna happen. so much wasted potential, this could’ve been an amazing comeback. loved eddie and venom’s interactions tho, power couple fr. 6.2/10

I love these movies but this was kinda underwhelming. Felt very short and over edited. It was still silly and fun to watch but it didn’t feel like the across the country adventure they were going for. Also the monsters were way too overpowered, at least give my guys a chance.

HORRIBLE!!! i wish i could go back in time and unwatch this
ugh wtf not even a small smooch??? also i thought the lil bit of venom they contained in the beginning at the bar would’ve come back into play at the end, but i guess they already did a “gotcha” ending for venom 1 and it’d be predictable if done again. still upset LMAO

Best movie ever
Can't go wrong with how great these were made, the ending opened so many doors to new films. Can't wait
Metacritic
The result is another middling comic-book adventure for the fan-favorite Spider-Man antihero that leans kooky and earnest and even saps some of its title character’s bite, though does give the snarling Venom a new aspect: a big baddie daddy.
Why make a Venom movie (much less three of them) if the character will never get to meet Spider-Man? Beyond the fact that it is sort of fun to see Tom Hardy act like a weirdo, I don’t think Sony ever came up with a satisfying answer to that question.
Frustratingly, [Marcel's] movie maintains the issues of the first two films – ropey effects, muddy night-time action scenes, a determination to be family friendly at all times – and then undoes any goodwill its more successful components have inspired by including a mid-credits sting that renders the previous 109 minutes obsolete.
