Does anyone watch this and not pause to read wikipedia
Angela FerragutoMay 15, 2020The Dante and Miller segments are good, but that doesn’t even remotely make up for the fact that something unforgivable occurred during the making of this film (I refer, of course, to Steven Spielberg’s Kick the Can). I was going to observe that the Landis segment is…
Will SloanMar 12, 2017Its really good but not quite murdering Vic Morrow and two children good.

A cursed object I've honestly been avoiding despite loving the genre-bending unpredictably and creepy, economical style of Rod Serling's original show that always managed to sneak some sort of grim civics lesson or fun and clever twist into legitimate paranormal sci-fi…
Josh LewisFeb 4, 2022“Twilight Zone: the Movie” is only disturbing in its daring to create a world where everything you once loved… is the same; just - a little bit worse. The quadruple directed and multi-segmented film doesn’t pay homage to, or even reinterpret the iconic show from which it…

Action!: The Caps Of Mr. Spielberg After directing what many consider a landmark movie in the form of ET. the Extra-Terrestrial, Spielberg was at the top of his game and though it all end up in the worst way possible, one can't blame Steven for trying out on making a…
Rafael "Mister Movie" JovineJan 12, 2025I wish Letterboxd had separate entries for the segments in Twilight Zone: The Movie because I can’t rate this higher for obvious reasons stated by just about everyone here. But if I could give “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” five stars I totally would. George Miller and John…
JesseMay 29, 2014A certain amount of give-and-take is expected from an anthology film, particularly one updating one of the great left-field anthology series, but the lopsided quality and tone of TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE is a drag. At least, it is for its first half: Landis' heavy-handed…

2.8 - this isn’t worth the time. The stories themselves are underwhelming at best. The only segment that was really decent too to bottom was the final one with Lithgow. But pair all of that with the horrifying happenings behind the scenes & this is not at all worth your time.
As all anthologies go, not every segment is of equal quality: but they’re all enjoyable. Crazy how 4 massive directors collaborated on this one film and manage to bounce off each other so well. It’s a shame the film is massively shadowed by the tragedy of the shoot

The most mixed movie the racist and anti semetic didn’t age well but great effects and story besides that
Not bad. They could have used better stories for the overall plot though. 7/10.
