It's basically a $200m music video for a new NIN album
𝐉Oct 12, 2025honestly if you watch it solely as a two hour long nine inch nails music video with sick visual effects and sound design it’s kind of dope

Tron: Legacy, I’m very sorry. You deserved better.
CinemaJoeOct 6, 2025Is this nobody-asked IP? Yes. Is the script a bunch of expository gibberish? Absolutely. Does it have anything cogent to say about AI? Not remotely. What it also is though is an audiovisually resplendent chase movie with stray beats that I daresay are downright…

They finally did it. They made a movie about a machine that learns to love
i_zOct 9, 2025They called the whole franchise TRON, but bro only gets like 10 minutes of screentime across the entire trilogy.
alexgiuOct 10, 2025Great gowns…. beautiful gowns…. Loved the soundtrack and everything inside the Grid looked cool + obsessed w the solid trail thing they do & think it was used well. That’s about it 🙂 I also saw it in a crazy screening where we got wristbands that lit up with sequences…

I don’t understand the hate behind this movie. I grew up with Tron Legacy, and I have to say I loved Tron Ares. This film deserves higher ratings! I highly recommend it!
Such an awesome movie. Loved everything about it start to finish.
Metacritic
The potential for an interesting sci-fi spectacle is there, at least at the start, but Tron: Ares does nothing with it.
Despite grasping for topicality and insight into human nature, Tron: Ares doesn’t have anything new or interesting to say.
Rønning’s dazzling action sequences and the killer soundtrack might be enough to satisfy fans, but Tron: Ares feels just as likely to get lost among a sea of the type of films Tron inspired.
