FKMay 6, 2024Every horror film should have a wee little pathetic French lad in a nightie and candle stick

funniest movie i've seen all year, clearly channeling the spirit of jean rollin but with a queer/theatrical over-dramatic energy that creates a dissonance between the oddball characters and the creepy atmosphere, really feels like a classic short story amplified by director…
comrade_yuiMar 9, 2024The lines between gothic horror and comedy are oh so thin

It has the things most important to a film which are atmosphere, blood, a little gay fellow, and a puppet. Great stuff, top notch folklore filmmaking.
BrittanyMar 3, 2024Just me or was the vourdalak’s voice kinda sexy?
Isobel DaviesAug 1, 2024This is ABSOLUTE GOLD. Robert Eggers' Nosferatu has stiff competition if it wants to be 2024's best vampire movie. In this one, Nosferatu is a Muppet with a gun.

weird french vampire movie, it actually had some pretty unique ideas, specifically with the vourdalak going after people it loves i enjoyed the effects and the aesthetic, it was surprisingly well done and entertainingly campy
This was better than I thought it would be. Folk tale mixed with camp. The Vourdalak effects are uniquely perfect. Give it a watch, you won’t be disappointed.
