Moviegoers are saying
This Twilight saga entry has become a cultural phenomenon for all the wrong reasons, with audiences unanimously roasting Bella's complete lack of inner thoughts and her bizarre romantic choices. Reviewers are particularly obsessed with the missed romantic potential between Bella and Alice, with multiple passionate defenses of why Alice was clearly the superior love interest all along.

Constrained by the plot of the novel, the film keeps the two lovers apart for quite a spell, robbing the project of the crazy-in-love energy that made Twilight, the first entry in the series, such a guilty pleasure.
