In the film, Chuck Heston is found passed out by a bunch of beautiful maidens, after almost dying in the desert. The maidens get all hot and bothered by finding him, and then they all want to marry him. I feel like if a bunch of maidens found me passed out after almost…
FilmApeApr 8, 2020Pretty sure we weren't in quarantine when I started watching this.
Peter CoxMay 13, 2018"The Ten Commandments" is a shining example of epic filmmaking on a grandiose scale. It's also an example of overstuffed self-indulgence. The film recites Moses' entire biblical life story, and in doing so, there are segments when the film is firing on all cylinders and…

Every movie should start with the director coming out on a stage and directly telling the audience what the film is about and how long the movie will be

Chris FeilJul 21, 2022It’s a towering achievement that never loses sight of the human stakes in this grand story. It’s epic in the best sense of the word. DeMille’s imbues the whole project with an utter confidence that sells every moment.

The movie everyone has seen at least once on Easter, at least you are me, then you've only seen the ending. I was ready to give this at least a 4 star, but as the movie progressed, the movie kept pulling out the strings of my own personal beliefs to no avail. Seriously,…
Rafael "Mister Movie" JovineMar 30, 2024An epic of biblical proportions (quite literally). Growing up, this was a staple in our house every Easter. The Easter bunny couldn't come until after we saw the parting of the red sea. Whether you are religious or not, I think most film fans can find something to…
Xeremy Hall 🟠🟢🔵A giant and memorable epic that surpasses all kinds of expectations. Who on Earth could forget about that grand Blockbuster effect in all of its glory? A very powerful and loyal testament except, as always, for the physical appearance representations of the…

“The Ten Commandments” is one of the most powerful stories put to film. The acting, cinematography and writing is near perfect and it’s still just as impressive now as when it was first released! 9/10
bonito, bem feito, bem atuado, efeitos especiais incríveis pra época.
The animated PoE is one of my favorite movies of all time. This is almost exactly like it but I appreciate the differences: the time spent to include all its characters, to develop them, for their purposes and wants to be known, to develop themes and motifs, and tell of the 10 Cs

Way too long and most of the movie was boring asf last 30 mins was good I’d give a plus for the soundtrack and practical effects but some main characters lack emotion in crucial moments and Moses story arc wasn’t paced or expressed well and his first bird is cringe asf 6/10
Sheesh. Dedication to production (costumes, sets, effects, countless extras, etc.) was insane. The women were really something, too.
