Synopsis
Experience the breathtaking theatrical presentation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's® iconic musical film The Sound of Music. Meticulously restored and remastered in 4K for its 60th anniversary, the beloved classic is more brilliant than ever with pristine picture and sound. In this true-life story, Julie Andrews lights up the screen as Maria, a spirited young woman who leaves the convent and becomes a governess to the seven unruly children of Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). Her warmth, charm and songs soon win the hearts of the children and their father. But when the threat of war rises, Maria is forced to attempt a daring escape with her new family. One of the most successful movie musicals of all time, The Sound of Music features unforgettable treasures like “Edelweiss,” “My Favorite Things,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and “Do-Re-Mi.”

I LOVE Julie Andrews so much omg. This was such a precious movie, I can’t believe I’m watching it for the first time at 22. Little me would’ve lovedddd this movie. The scenery, all of the colors and soundtrack was so good. The kids were so cute and their first time singing as a family made me tear…
This movie is almost perfect, not perfect at all just for the songs in the convent that are useless long. But the rest of the movie is *kiss chef 😘 ❤️ Captain Von Tripp is 🔝. The story is great, and the ending is quite unexpected. Songs are iconic Julie Andrews is Julie Andrews..

I saw this cause ppl told me it was the best musical, & the story is cute but the music isn't that amazing & it's actually so repetitive, if I hear "My Favourite Thing" again I will burst. The puppets were insanely good tho! I was impressed by them. Overall, it's a sweet movie.
I have seen this so many times. When I was in school we was constantly watching the sound of music. I really like it, however it seems very long at points tho. The actors are really great. I would love to see a remake even tho it wouldn’t compare to the original sound of music.
