The Long Walk walked so The Running Man could run
timtamtitusNov 10, 2025Every bad thing people are saying about this is true, the script is wack, the editing is wack, and Edgar Wright is nowhere to be found (not that I was expecting a great return to form which probably helped my experience) (however there is a split diopter shot),…

men will literally get hunted by trained assassins instead of getting a job
vivdagoat 🍎🍂🐞Nov 22, 2025incredibly fun and by a mile the MOST someone has used glen powell, which is great to see. pretty unfortunate 3rd act on this one. also it’s 2025, you shouldn’t be allowed to have a black screen with just the word “goon” on it
KarstenJan 7, 2026they should do this for real. I could win it

I'm honestly surprised by the negative reception. The runtime may run a little longer than it needs to, but I was thoroughly engaged throughout, and it may be a more restrained Edgar Wright project, but it's still one of the year's best action films. It's unfortunate it flopped too, because the…
been waiting for this movie for monthsssss and the wait was worth it. so entertaining from beginning to end, the action was good but definitely could’ve been dialed up a bit more. glen was phenomenal, anger acting was on point. lee in this was sooo 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️. wish i hadn’t seen the…
Fun watch! I think I enjoyed this one as much as the original, but it’s hard to tell! I really liked the sets and the vibe the world gave off too, very grounded-futuristic! I also liked the Arnold nod 😂 Was wondering if he’d have a cameo… I really enjoyed the plane fight too!!

It was a fun watch but I wouldn’t call it great. Definitely really fun tho especially with friends. I would survive
“Running Man” delivers pure adrenaline—non-stop chases, slick choreography, and tension that never lets up. It’s raw, chaotic, and wildly entertaining. The energy hits like a punch, and the pacing keeps you locked in from start to finish. A must-watch thrill ride.

Unfortunately this one did not live up to the original. Glen Powell did everything he could to carry this movie but the story was so shallow, it didn’t help. Way too long, too many plot holes, and uninteresting characters. 5.5/10
This movie showed how A.I. can be totally, absolutely, most definitely used against us……and I will tell you. I’m going to do something about it before it gets to that point.

Entertaining and kept the fun going. A little rushed in some spots and long in other others, overall a very enjoyable movie to this Stephen King fan. Any actors would have worked for the main roles, although Brolin was a great choice and they all were fun to watch
another excellent Edgar Wright flick!
Metacritic
The film’s pacing is stumbling and the longer it goes on, the less urgency we feel in that chase.
The brash message of the film may amount to little more than “smash the system”, but it’s a message that Wright has ignored in a film that sorely lacks for imagination and edge.
The Running Man is such an enjoyable race while you're running it, but once you make it past the finish line and start reflecting on the experience, it leaves too much to be desired.
