What if Batman and The Joker were in the same old folks home.
Tori PotenzaApr 2, 2025Say all you want, but the real villains in this film are the officers — because where the hell are they? How could this crazy old man just come and go everywhere, do all of that for so long, without getting caught even once?! Are they all deadass??!! And every time they…

♢ 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗 ×͜×Mar 30, 2025You get the general idea of this film’s tone during the establishing shot of John Lithgow laughing maniacally at a screen like DeNiro in Cape Fear. That tone is “unsettling”. It’s also dark, depressing, and sobering. As I’ve often said, the most real of all horrors is the…

3.9 - Had to break the hot streak eventually. This just doesn’t have much going for it outside John Lithgow acting fully unhinged & Geoffrey Rush providing a decent foil. It never fully commits to its psych horror elements. It leaves a few unanswered or at least unsatisfactorily answered…
This movie is weird and gross at times but I laughed quite a bit and overall enjoyed it.
Geez, the retirement home staff in this movie were absolutely garbage at their jobs, the fact that all this is going on and no one is suspicious is wild. Rush and Lithgow are fantastic but the movie didn’t keep me invested the whole time because I never believed rush would be ok

one horrible geezer terrifying a bunch of other geezers at an old folks home lithgow goes wild, rush is great and they’re the main reason to watch this as really only their characters get developed, some (just) kinda creepy pysch horror, unintentional comedy, general weirdness
Very well acted and really hits you with an existential crisis. This movie really makes you feel for old people and how they are largely neglected; it also really harnesses the fear of growing old and losing yourself. Powerful commentary with great acting.

It started off creepy and mysterious but quickly turned into a very weird battle between two old men. I prefer lithgow as trinity, not as Jenny Pen. It has potential but it didn’t hit the mark for me.
script is a bit weak and it's core is a story we've seen before but the two leads are easy to watch and the menacing tone prevails throughout. good fun.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Interesting plot that goes nowhere
JVJacob VanoverAlthough this movie’s cast is quite remarkable in terms of acting, its plot and story are just too boring. This movie is not scary in the slightest and was mostly just sad. The trailer convinced me to check it out but it is definitely a big thumbs down. Viewers beware
