The Rhythm Section is very much the slow burn. There is much action in it but not to the extent of big Blockbuster movies. Like I felt with Gemini Man, The Rhythm Section would have benefited greatly from being a series rather than a movie. There was just so much to explore and enjoy including the performances of Blake Lively and Jude Law. They were really good! It's a shame that this movie won't get the accolades it deserves.

Morano is absolutely adept in keeping tension rising, her characters grounded and her audience intrigued, a half-step behind.

It has a serviceable but stalled quality.

This film is a mess. It’s so grim and inept. There are a million plot holes at any given moment, that you must constantly pick up your eyes from rolling on the floor.
