8.2/10 Only revolutionary war movie and I wish there were more. Not historically accurate at all so if you were hoping for a documentary, you won’t find it. The final battle and the ambush in the woods stood out to me as action masterclasses. Heath ledger was amazing, he always is in his few roles.

It's also heart wrenching to watch at points as well, and you feel for the characters. The acting was amazing and honest, and really helped me immerse into the movie. I'll always watch this again.

Saw this movie a few years ago and it is honestly one of my most favorite Mel Gibson films. The traditional Revolutionary War battles were great, the villain, monstrously amazing, the storyline, even more astonishing. A truly patriotic and masterpiece of a film. I give it a 10/10

The story was phenomenal and the battle sequences was well executed. But in my opinion I fought Heath Ledger gave a more compelling performance than Mel did.
