A 90 minute movie that’s 70 minutes too long. Evil Dead meets The Autopsy of Jane Doe except with a dumb dumb convoluted video game plot and some of the most offensively bad acting I’ve ever seen. Nothing makes sense. Like, even slightly. Willa Holland, I love you, but…it’s…

EdMar 27, 2026The worst thing a movie can be, even a bad movie, is boring. This was VERY boring and unoriginal.

I can’t imagine watching another film this year that I will like less than this. Honestly might be a wiser choice to just watch gameplay of the game on youtube instead because the game is actually really cool.
claira curtisApr 10, 2026Video games, the medium applauded for great story telling. Great, because there is always the puzzle. You can put the puzzle in a mortuary with demons and zombies. It does not really matter. What matters is the puzzle. How do you make a movie out of that? Well instead of…
Yves BouwenFeb 12, 2026It was alright but honestly I had more fun when I just watched Markiplier play the game.

I’m not mad, just disappointed. Actually no, I am a little.
Dident play the game but this was insanely bad as someone who knew nothing about the backstory, no explanation, no impactful scenes or story just bouncing from one unexplained scene to the next , only redeeming aspect was that the demon in this series looks great and was creepy.
First 20min, I was optimistic. Felt like the game. Loved the little details like the ruins and burning paper. Second it hit the 30min mark, I was pissed. Completely turned its back on the lore and did its own horrible story. It had so much potential. Just…damn it!

This film was an absolute snooze fest, and I don’t usually use those words when talking about a film. This film had absolutely no substance to it, and it was just an hour-long movie of someone working at a job. This movie was absolutely boring.
I’ve seen and played the game before..could’ve been done better. At least have the iconic scenes from the game to the movie.
i liked it but also didn’t like it. if you’re gonna make this movie it has to be exactly like the game. not knowing the objective from the beginning ruined it bc they went along with their own thing. not telling her about the demonic body before and waiting until she was fully possessed was such a…

I’ve never played the game, but I’ve watched it on twitch here and there. I have to say this just kind of dragged and I really didn’t get the point. This felt like more of a straight to digital kind of release than an actual theater movie unfortunately.
Willa and Paul portrayed their characters well, and the set is quite accurate to the game. I liked the mind tricks, it was nice since it wasn’t too long but next time, maybe, stick to the game
