Full of heart, full of humor, full of high Cs!
Be sure to hear this extremely well sung and played performance.
Loved the voices; it's a fun Opera. Great to see Kathleen Turner in it.
The cast seems to enjoy singing as we enjoyed hearing it.
Pretty Yende and Javier Camarena were absolutely delightful and sweet, I loved it!
I see nearly all the HD Met operas and this one was right up there at the top. Giving Kathleen Turner a cameo was genius - she was perfect (and completely funny). What a production!!
I really felt like I was there, except I could actually see the expressions on their faces. Cast was truly outstanding!! Whole production, including interviews was great.
Fantastic singing and very amusing
Terrific performance in every way!
loved the lead singers
Marvelous vocal performers in an endearing story.
Not my favorite opera but a lot of fun. Good voices and a surprise with Kathleen Turner in the cast.
What a fun opera!! Great cast, great music, and a scene- stealing Kathleen Turner! Bravo, Metropolitan Opera!
Glorious singing, acting. A comic delight the audience loved!
Loved this production, Yende and Camarena. Would like to see more of them.
Fantastic experience. I felt as I was there in the Metropolitan. Music, cast, staging - everything was great. Thank you AMC
Not a good story and a poor production. The voices were terrific. The use of Kathleen Turner was lame.
Cast was tremendous. Singing was superb.
Gorgeous! Beautiful music, fantastic singing, great acting in one of the best comic operas of all time. The Met hit it out of the ballpark with this one!
Just when we have us a situation of sorts we have come to 1 agreement here that this Operatta of sorts gives 1 of the most complexatory reasons of thought in modern day history! Yes!!!!! My friends it rocks & reeks of utter refinement in the kingdoms of GOD'S almighty KINGDOMS of this country's finest hours of showdom! Thank GOD'S words for showdom , kindness, & consideration till the end of time! Maybe! Just maybe there might be a lucky star for the likes of Priscilla WKE Barnsworth playing Marie along with stalwarts Kisha NKE Barnes playing Mademoiselle Kingsworth aka Blackensdorf & otherwise known as the Beckensdorf twins with Kathleen Turner given a good turn @ the helm as Mademoiselle Kretchendorf mother of kinds, kingdoms, & joys! A real fine performance by all! Say "GOODNITE FOLKS" & pleasant dreams to all those concerned @ the kingdom of the LORD OUR GOD OUR SAVIOUR AMEN TO THAT! AGAIN AMEN TO THAT! SOOOO! GOODNITE AGAIN FOLKS & PLEASANT DREAMS ONCE AGAIN! TAH! TAH! FOR NOW!
Donizetti's masterpiece - none equal it for sheer fun and joy! But, it takes a French girl to sing and act Marie, and I think the consummate Marie is, and always will be, Natalie Dessay. And her Tonio has to be Juan Diego Florez. Any performance of Fille is a treat, but that of Dessay and Florez at Covent Garden in January 2007 was flawless - even perfect!
Fantadtic voices! Do not miss this one!!!
Loved it - so full of energy and youthful joy
