Atom User Reviews for The Metropolitan Opera: Eurydice
For a new opera, there was a lot to dig into. The cast was outstanding, from Erin Morley pullling the character of Eurydice from inside her, to J.J. Orlinski as the spirit double of Orpheus. But the revelation to me was the focused performance of Joshua Hopkjns as the living Orpheus, both in his singing and his acting. He may just be my new favorite barihunk.
A wonderful production and cast. Very powerful!
Absorbing and powerful
Fantastic new opera if you like contemporary music. Amazing sets and costumes and outstanding cast. So glad I saw it.
For the new opera it was great, get into characters, cast was fantastic, and production
And awesomely moving retelling of the Orpheus myth from the viewpoint of Eurydice. Tragic compelling must see.
The singing was wonderful as was the music, staging and costumes. Unfortunately the transmission was terrible as there were constant interruptions throughout. This was very distracting and annoying.
Great voices, good music. Worthwhile for a fan of opera.
wonderful cast!
absolutely loved it!
