Me, watching The Living Daylights: A-ha.
Matt SingerDec 4, 202083 Yet another Bond entry growing in estimation on re-watch. Clean, concise action, an overtly convoluted globetrotting plot, plenty of fun gadgetry, and the Timothy Dalton/Maryam d'Abo dynamic all adds up to the level of an exceptional spy thriller. It's nice when the…

After hours of racking their brains trying to come up with a fake name for James Bond to sneak him through airport security, the villains finally landed on the very subtle and totally not conspicuous Jerzy Bondov
Bryan EspitiaMar 11, 2016A well-defined and robust transition from the Roger Moore era, John Glen's "The Living Daylights" introduces Timothy Dalton as James Bond and offers a straightforward, entertaining, and neatly assembled action epic. With its solid story and hearty adventure beats, the film…
Travis LytleOct 30, 2021This film is dedicated to the brave mujahideen fighters of Afghanistan. Enjoyed The Living Daylights. It has some good old fashioned Cold War espionage, also the darker tone, grounded tech and action all really clicked for me. Tho, the third act drags as various endings…

"If only I could find a real man." The end of an era; unsteady new beginnings. It’s hard for me to talk about what a comfort The Living Daylights is without delving into my general distaste for Roger Moore, particularly late in his career. He deserves his place in the…
ScreeningNotesOct 16, 2012as "grounded" (just not as angsty) as the Craig entries (at least for the time being), but with the dash of Moore-era camp that the Brosnan recipes always struggled with. Spiritual cousin of sorts to FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (though a bit more narratively convoluted), what with…

It’s very decent. I think Dalton delivers a very good Bond. He is charismatic and brings out a darker side of the character that isn’t really seen much. Other than that I think the villains are okay, but not much else. The plot however is a bit confusing at times. Overall great!
It’s a great bond movie as it has some of the best action scenes along with Dalton being just as good as Moore was in the prime of his role. My main nit pick is that the tones don’t really match throughout its setting but its fine to dip into campy sometimes. 8.6/10

I’ll lump all the James Bond films up to Casino Royale into one review. I love them all and there’s very few instalments that I don’t enjoy. I hope they keep making them till the day I die, fantastic films! 13/07/2023 (Historical Review)
Showcases Timothy Dalton’s tough, more serious Bond, bringing a fresh intensity to the character. The film strikes a perfect balance of grit and wit, it has a thrilling pace and energy from start to finish. Rating: H- 8.5/10 L- 8/10

not the best but pretty entertaining. I found the cellist girl so annoying. Timothy dalton is super handsome
A more serious storyline, I liked that. Definitely different than the other James Bond movies

Mr. Dalton, the latest successor to the role of James Bond, is well equipped for his new responsibilities.
Dalton has training in classical theater; he has pedigree, looks, class. But as Bond he is – face it – dull as dirt. Too much spoofing is bad (see Moore), none is deadly (see Dalton).
