Synopsis
1943, Berlin, Germany. Naxi propagandist Joseph Goebbels declares that the Reich has been successful and the city is “free of Jews.” Yet nearly two thousand Jews remained in the city through the end of the war. This is the amazing true story of four young men who were able to survive thanks to a combination of resourcefulness, recklessness, and pure luck.
The film’s quartet relied upon a combination of public and private spaces, bolstered by insider knowledge and rebellious determination, to live through the war. They forge documents, pose as Aryans, and even work against the Nazis, with every day expressing their hope and courage to survive.

Metacritic
The Invisibles is part documentary and part feature film. For most of the movie, it's a good thing.
A film like The Invisibles is part of bearing precise witness. We clearly need reminders, and constant ones, of the end result of otherizing an entire group of people.
Hearing from these survivors is vitally important. But by smushing together two distinct styles of narrative, The Invisibles risks draining the power from both.
