The best voiceover narration in cinema history.
Patrick WillemsJun 12, 2021in pop culture, sociopathy is presented as a kind of superpower, always coupled with superior intelligence, animal cunning and razor-sharp instincts. The Informant! dares to ask: what if someone was a sociopath but also kind of a dim bulb?
theshrillestThis is a true story of a guy who blew the whistle on Archer Daniels Midland and a massive corn syrup price fixing cartel, he was also a manic bipolar liar and corporate criminal. Doubly interesting because it's about an unhinged fabulist and is based on a book by Kurt…

God knows how many watches in, this became even more of a tragedy upon realizing that all the narration is little dissociative episodes whenever Mark doesn't want to think about what he's doing or saying. Forget that the movie's still funny after multiple watches, that the…

ChaseJan 20, 2026Based upon true events about a corporate whistleblower, Steven Soderbergh dishes out a smart biographical comedy. Though the tonal shifts felt a bit jarring, the sharp satire, quirky voiceovers, enjoyable music and standout performance from Matt Damon, make it watchable…
Michael JamesDec 4, 2021I originally regarded this a Coens riff on a dummy who thinks he can outsmart everyone. It is that, of course. But it struck me this time less as a farce and more as a tragedy about a mentally unstable guy who truly believes he can get the edge on everyone, plays all sides…

I really enjoyed this. It’s an unbelievable true story that’s well directed, well written entertainment. Damon is really good as the compulsively lying lead. It’s dramatic in parts and really funny in others and it’s always engaging. Really good stuff
