Did You Know?
- Kate Beckinsale was originally cast but dropped out 2 weeks after shooting began. Michelle Dockery replaced her. An insider said "She explained that other stuff in her life, including an ill family member, meant she could not commit. Luckily, Guy already had Michelle waiting in the wings to take over so that helped to ease the transition. It's a real shame, as it was a great gig for Kate but Guy is sure it will still be a box office hit now that Michelle is on board".
- In the closing credits, immediately under "Standby Carpenter", it says "Standy Rigger"-this should be "Standby Rigger".
- Mickey Pearson: There's only one rule in the jungle: when the lion's hungry, he eats!

Loved it. The kind of Ritchie movie I’ve been waiting for since Rocknrolla. Great ensemble cast, plot keeps you guessing till the very end! Can’t wait to see it again!
FAB english humor.. Guy Ritchie at his best. GREAT cast LOVE
For all its energy and vulgarity, The Gentlemen is a slog, a tedious and unnecessarily unpleasant tour of ground that Ritchie’s already covered.
Featuring a stellar ensemble cast headed by Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery and Colin Farrell, Ritchie's homecoming is a fairly familiar affair, but also refreshingly funny and deftly plotted, with more witty lines and less boorish machismo than his early work.
The Gentlemen is a disposable crime caper on autopilot. Propped up by an all-star ensemble, particularly the sturdy Charlie Hunnam and scene-stealer Colin Farrell, Guy Ritchie reclaims the genre that brought him to fame but does little more than shuffle battered parts into an intermittently entertaining configuration.
